ISO: Almond Cake with Kirsch - question

Has anybody made this recipe lately? I just took it out of the oven and it seems much more dense than I remember - almost "gooey"/"sticky"..I baked 5 minutes additional to instructions...taste is correct, just curious re. consistency..haven't made it in years..tks !
