ISO: Anyone else have "leaky" aluminum foil?

I have had a weird experience with the last 2 rolls of aluminum foil I bought.
The first was a cheaper store brand, so next time I bought Reynolds. With
both, I often see that some of the aluminum or the coating has leached off into
the food! I just picked some metallic flakes off the top of a bowl of mashed
potatoes; sometimes the steam goes right thru the foil -- holes in the foil,
sometimes just seems to lose a coating into the food. It has happened with
other foods -- maybe it's been happening for years, but I never noticed it
until the past 2 rolls. Cheaper foil or coatings?

Anyone else have this happen? I suppose I could wait until the food is cool
before I cover it, but I'm not fond of salmonella either, and sometime time
just doesn't allow for it, esp. with company when you want to put food away and
spend time with guests. I already have trouble remembering where my car keys
are; I don't need extra aluminum!

Any thoughts? Thanks.
