ISO: Banana cake, not loaf, with maraschino cherries, sour cream

Still looking for made-from-scratch banana cake recipe that includes sour cream and chopped maraschino cherries. Very moist, dense, yummy cake made in a heavy angel food pan or a bundt pan. Similar to pound cake? I think it took up to 3 cups flour? Can't recall what fat was used, probably margarine/butter. May contain chopped walnuts. Does not contain chocolate, any other fruits, nor coconut. No frosting/icing/glaze. Would LOVE to find this recipe. Have dozens of banana cake recipes, but not The One. -- Thanks!! A dear friend who passed away used to make this cake for me.
