ISO: California Tongue (whole beef tonuge) from 1940's cookbook
Misc.I am looking for the recipe for "California Tongue" which appeared in the gourmet version of "American Cooking" which was being sold new in 1942. It was for whole beef tongue in a sauce which I think was tomato based and I know had raisins in it. The cookbook was thick, with a green cover. and the inside face plate showed pictures of fancy candies such as you would buy in a See's Candy store.
