ISO: Canned Pears turned red! what happened

I have canned pears for years and I have never run into this problem. I am hoping that someone can help me with it. I canned my pears like I have for the past 11 years. I only had three quarts to do because I am getting to the end of them and they are ripening slowly. I processed them in a hot water bath for 20 minutes. They turned RED!. The pears, the syrup, all of it turned red. The all sealed but they just look funny. Why would it do that and are they ruined? I didn't do anything different and all three of them did it. If you konw what happened your advice would be great. Thanks
