ISO: Enchilada Sauce using tomato juice

I grew up in So. Calif - in the late 1950's - early 1960's my mother had a recipe for an Enchilada Sauce that used canned tomato juice that she cooked down - I know she added onions and maybe bell pepper. I'd love to find this recipe......
