ISO: Has anyone out there ever tried a brined turkey?

Misc.
This weekend is Canadian thanksgiving weekend.

And here I was wondering why no-one was talking about recipes here on the board! These senior moments escalate in frequency, don't they?!

I am going to try Emeril's recipe for brined turkey. He has a southwest one (a bit spicy) I think we might especially like. If it's any good, I will post it.

If it fits, I will put the turkey in the rotisserie. Otherwise, I will roast it in the oven.

Have a good one, everybody!

Carolyn!

p.s. heard from Lynda by telephone, and since she is not able to meet up with us, I booked a family trip for X-mas to Mexico. We are excited...this is instead of "presents", which only seem to clutter up our lives, and give me a headache trying to think of "stuff". Altho, I will still do a stocking full of more-or-less practical stuff for 'my guys"...you know, fancy after-shaves and the like.
