ISO: looking for a cookie recipe my grandmother used to make please help

Misc.
hi

it is a cookie recipe...the cookie is a butter cookie that we used to cut out with a jelly glass (think fred flinstone or archies glasses from the 60s) then we out a dollop of caramel that we melted over a double boiler and i think we thinned with evaporated milk, then on top of that we put some kind of semi sweet chocolate frosting (homemade) and topped it with a piece of walnut (usually a big chunk as we both loved them!)

so thats the building of the cookie i just do not have the recipe for all of the components...your thoughts??

thanks
