ISO: looking for an old family frosting recipe

I am looking for a recipe for frosting that my grandmother used to make to top her red velvet cake. It starts with heating flour and milk. I have been unable to find it anywhere. Your help would be greatly aprreciated. I am making the cake for my daughter's 5th birthday. Thank You!
