ISO: mandarin orange chicken question

Misc.
wondering what you do with the mandarin oranges between the time you freeze the mixture and when you use it to cook.

Editor's note:
Karen - Regarding the can of mandarin oranges used in the recipe, you wouldn't open the can until you're ready to use them. The orange juice concentrate called for in the first part of the recipe is not the juice from the mandarin oranges but the frozen concentrate you would purchase for making orange juice.
