ISO: Need help with planning meals for vacation at Gulf Shores Condo
Misc. Our adult children and some of their friends are going to join us for a week at our condo in Gulf Shores which is right by the beach. There will be five of us to cook for. I need some good ideas for cooking things that I can prepare easily and not have to stand over it the whole time while everyone else is having fun. I have a good breakfast casserole that I make the night before and then just pop in the oven, it is so easy. But I need some ideas for when we get in after being out on the water or beach for most of the day and everyone comes in tired, hungry and ready to have fun. I would appreciate you sending me any recipes that are good, but easy to pop in a pan and cook in the over. We have all the convinces of home, so that is nice. One night we will go out to the picnic area and cook on the grill by the pool. That night needs to be easy also. We will start with appetizers and drinks, and then progress on to cook until dinner is ready. We will each at the picnic table. We want to be able to take as much as possible in one trip to the picnic area so we don't have to keep running back and forth to the condo. They don't allow any fires on the beach, but the picnic areas are nice by a pool and hot tub. We will have fun playing games and then swimming and getting into the hot tub. Sounds fun doesn't it. It will be if I can just get some good easy recipes, so I don't get struck in the kitchen all the time!!
One thing I had thought about was a nice port tenderloin, but I don't have a good recipe for one. Any other idea will be greatly appreciated.
Take care and God Bless,
