ISO: Need more information.. can you describe what this is?

I would be glad to search for it but I don't know what type of food I am searching for. If you could describe the food in detail it would be very helpful. I am not familiar with the food unfortunately so the description does help in the search. Is it a appetizer, main course, salad, dessert? What are the ingredients? What does it look like? How is it prepared? Any details are helpful.

Perhaps someone who is Italian will recognize this and come to your rescue.
