ISO: Non-Traditional Thanksgiving

Misc.
Hi. I am a new poster here, and I thought I might ask you guys for some ideas or advice. My parents called this morning to cancel their annual thanksgiving vacation to my house (I live very far away from them.) So, I've decided to cook a t-day meal for myself and my friends. There will probably be about 6 guests in total...all from foreign coutries; mostly Spain. I don't want to do a traditional meal because my parents and I have made a tradition out of doing non-traditional things for Thanksgiving, and I want to share that experience with my friends. I am an adventurous cook, and I don't mind putting in some hours in the kitchen. If any of you guys have ideas or thoughts, I'd greatly appreciate hearing them. (a theme, a special dish, anything!) Thanks for listening!
