ISO: recipe for date nut bar

lost a recipe when I moved that I made years ago,so please help It had a cookie cake base and you pressed the dough in the jelly roll pan and save half to roll between hands and criss cross on top. the filling was to take dates, sugar and water and cook with pecans then spread on top of base then put on the dough top and sprinkle with pecans and bake. Hope someone has this recipe Thanks Shirley
