ISO: Red Kidney Bean Dip/ relish

A few years ago while living in Massachusetts, most restaurants served types of relishes and dips with crackers when you sat down. One of the dips was made with red kidney beans. I believe that it had relish and sour cream also. Does anyone know how it was made? It probally comes in a jar because no matter what restaurant you went to, it tasted the same.
