ISO: Stringy Pinto Green Beans (canning question)
Misc.My Grandma told me when I started canning to use Pinto Beans for the best canned green beans. I've planted my own beans and harvested them, even small and young and still have a problem canning them.
I've snapped them and pulled off the strings, but everytime I go to EAT them the beans are still stringy and extremely chewy. My Grandma is not around to help me out anymore.
Any Grandma's or Grandpa's got some suggestions to soften my beans? Thanks a million. Shelly
