Thank You: Micha, what a wonderful description -

Misc.
I read every word of your travelogue - ooohing and aaahing with memories of having been to so many of those same places. Such beauty there.

I can't believe how much you incorporated into this trip - you had to have done alot of research on places to go and things to see. I, too, love Portland Head Light.

Once several years ago, when I was there with my little 3-year old grandson, I was carrying him facing into a biting cold gale wind, and he said to me "Grandma, my eyes are leaking!"

I think that the only place you missed was a visit to L.L. Bean - that's a day's visit by itself, also the town of Freeport. But the places you visited had more of the true flavor of Maine.

Thanks for bringing back wonderful memories for me, and I hope you got lots and lots of photos to look at in years to come.

By the way, DH had his first cataract done this afternoon - took all of an hour and he did very well. No pain at all. No local anesthesia injections, no sutures, no patch - everything has changed so much since I was an OR nurse 20 years ago!! I walked into the recovery room to see him sitting up in an easy chair, chatting with a nurse, stuffing a custard-filled doughnut into his face with a cup of coffee!! Yah, honey - good cardiac diet there.

Love, June
