Here in Puerto Rico the heat is humid, full of steam and windy. The southern part of the island is extremely dry, but the northern part is as hot but very humid. These days are good for the beach and for country houses high in the mountains with our small rivers which are refreshing and good for swimming. The mango season is over, but you can see breadfruits, oranges, bananas and quenepas everywhere. Coconut water is sold near the beaches, very cold. We go to work with our summer frocks, with a white blazer over. Sandals are the order of the day. And thanks to God, no hurricanes still.
