My mother used to make ribs that tasted like those from our favorite Chinese restaurant on Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn. I've made them several times by trial and error, as I don't have a written recipe. It's a syrupy combination of soy sauce, black pepper, cinnamon, brown sugar, and garlic powder. I marinade the ribs overnight and then bake in the oven.
I've been trying to find the recipe too, but haven't found anything that sounds remotely like it.
