Thanks for this recipe. I'm just getting to know slow-cooking after years of stovetop and roasting, so it'll be another one to try. My question is about the amount of Italian sausage. Here in Sausage-Town, USA, [Milwaukee], we can buy 12 oz or 16 oz packages - usually 4 to 5 sausages in each package [so 12-15 sausages for your recipe, or thereabouts?]. How many pounds do you recommend?
