Hi Eggy,

Thanks for all the information about pandan leaves! It appears the ones we have in Hawaii are NOT the same as the ones used for flavoring in Southeast Asia. I'll have to ask around in Southeast Asian markets to see if they carry edible ones in the refrigerator or freezer case. I'm still reluctant to pull one off a plant in someone's yard and try using it for cake! Some things are not worth experimenting with, IMHO!
