Thank You: Thanks for dinner tonight!!

I've been busy with lots of little side things and was wondering what to do for dinner tonight -

I'm having all of DH's side of the family over this Sunday (he's Polish/Ukrainian) there's 12 of them - going to celebrate his one year anniversary post-bypass surgery - however, it's not going to be a very good low cholesterol day!!

We'll be having mushroom soup with sour cream, pierogis, galombkis, kielbasa, sauerkraut, rye bread, bluebery pie and brownies for dessert.

These are all dishes everyone in the family loves, and had often when DH's older sister was living. She would make all these dishes and it was always open house for anyone wanting to walk in and take their chances. Many of these relatives haven't had these dishes since this strong maternal figure in the family passed away several years ago. She gave me all her recipes, and I have tattered, spattered pieces of paper in her handwriting, and she also showed me her methods of making these things. I treasure these so.

I'm just hoping it doesn't rain as predicted so we can enjoy spreading out onto the lanai and poolside.
