Thank You: Thanks Gladys

Misc.
Gladys,

Thanks for your recommendations. I ordered the New York Times Cookbook. It sounds like a great place to start.

Can you believe that I did not have a single cookbook until the past year? (And I'm 33!) I have always gotten recipes out of magazines or on-line.

I've always enjoyed cooking, and now that I'm married, I find I am more likely to experiment with different types of dishes. My husband, although picky in some ways, really likes Chinese, Thai, and other Asian types of dishes. So, I have made an effort to learn some of his favorite recipes. And, he doesn't mind being my guinea pig while I experiment with new recipes, which I've done a lot in the past few weeks.

I am finding that I enjoy reading cookbooks, especially if they are good ones! I am also finding that my interest in cooking is growing, largely in part to this web-site, and all the wonderful cooks who contribute.

Thanks again,

Dianne
