Recipe: Small appliance meal ideas
Recipe CollectionsYou could always brown some ground beef on your George Forman grill and then break it up and put it in your crockpot with other ingredients for a good soup, (veggie, taco, cheeseburger, etc) sloppy joes, spaghetti sauce, etc. Actually, you could carmelize some onions in rings on the grill and then chop them up and add to the pot. Or use your convection microwave to brown or bake almost anything.*
How about Chicken divan using rotisserie or canned chicken, broccoli and a can of 'cream of' with cheese and/or butter cracker topping then convect bake and serve over minute rice that was steamed in your microwave. You could add broth to any leftovers for a yummy soup. A baked chicken salad is also delicious and convectable.
Have you done a crockpot beef stew yet? Or what about a roasted chicken with some microwaved steamed vegetables and a baked potato? Twice baked potatoes would be yummy. Or good old ham and beans. Each canned and deli prepared, of course. Even ragu and progresso sauces have a completely different taste when slow cooked and then layered on to no cook lasagna noodles, cheeses, and convected. A packaged salad, some crusty bread, a lighted candles, and instant bistro dining.
Good luck and please post photos of your new kitchen when you're finished.
*I cover anything I heat or reheat in my microwave with a damp-nearly wet-paper towel. It helps retain the moisture and helps keep your microwave clean in the process because it forms to whatever container you're heating in and doesn't blow off a turntable style.
