This may sound a little off-the wall, but if you're looking for a good cookbook, I find that I really love to collect what I call community cookbooks. They're the ones put together by churches, schools and other area community groups. The recipes are usually tried & true family favorites. Usually, people put recipes in these books that they are always getting requests for.
