About Gina's tart
Misc. Hi, Shirl - I want to recommend Gina's Tart for All Seasons, but I also want to add a little note. I made it recently for a family party (added a touch more sugar to the filling, because DH's family has fierce sweet-teeth!), and the flavor is fabulous, especially the crust. BUT - I couldn't get it to serve neatly from the pan. The crust stuck to the pan like nobody's business. Possibly I did something wrong, but I know that next time I try will buttering my tart pan before pressing in the crust. It's a tribute to Gina's recipe that it all got eaten up (and lavishly praised) in spite of the crumbled appearance when it was served!
