Caught red-handed cheating...

Misc.

Page,

You are definately not alone when it comes to cheating. Hubby and I love veggies, and prefer them fresh, but we don't eat them quickly enough and I hate to shop, so I use the frozen kind. Especially the ones in a cheese sauce...I can make my own, but why bother when it's already done for you.

I also use the prebaked pizza crusts, again why fuss when it's already done. I've made homemade spaghetti sauce once and I'll never do it again. I didn't think it was any better then some of the pre-made sauces (ie, Ragu's sauteed garlic and onion). I also buy the frozen boneless, skinless chicken breasts-they're easy to thaw and versitile. I could save money by boning and skinning them myself, but what a pain.

And hey, some of those frozen lasagne's aren't half bad. I just sprinkle with a little chopped roasted garlic (bought in a jar), oregano and basil, and a little more cheese. If buying the shredded cheese is cheating, I'm guilty of that too.

I'm all for eating good, healthy, food...but I was born under a water sign, so I tend to take the path of least resistance.
