Dear Linda: In the recipe you mix the ingredients & roll it
Misc.into two logs. Then you refrigerate it & then you cut it in slices. You are suggesting to invert the process, refrigerating the base in a bowl & then, after refrigerated, to roll the ingredients & to cut it into individual cookies. I am not sure you will be able to do this; but if you are willing to experiment, at least wait until the base is at room temperature.
