Freezing Basil

Misc.

Hi everyone --

After washing and drying the basil thoroughly, i just freeze it in a tupperware type container. Having pesto frozen is a great convenience, but many times i want just plain basil without the added garlic and/or oil in the recipe. I have found it to freeze beautifully without any loss of flavor. This procedure also works well with parsley, allowing you to always have fresh parsley on hand for recipes.
