Fruit Cake (like Collin Street Bakery) - Wonder if some brown suger?

Misc.
I haven't tried this recipe yet, but I've had the actual Collins Street Bakery Deluxe Fruitcake many, many times for maybe fifty years. It seems to me that some brown sugar is used in the cake, which gives it a light brown color in the cake part. I think I'll try 1/2 cup light brown sugar and 1/2 C white granular sugar.
