Gina you make me laugh :)

Misc.
...because what you said about looking at all the different foods in a new country is just the kind of thing i do. I find it endlessly fascinating and often bring bits and pieces back that i wouldn't be able to get here. That's what i love about everyone at TKL - we're all fanatical foodies! It's the only place i can talk to like-minded people. I have a couple of friends who are also foodies but even they think i'm a bit obsessed :) One thing i do regret, when i went to France i forgot to bring back a rope of smoked garlic - nevermind, next time! Garlic is quite expensive here and i use a fair bit of it.

Another thing i like about TKL is all the news everyone shares with each other; it's great to hear what is going on in people's lives and brings a real sense of unity even though none of us have met. It's the w'end soon and i can't wait as i have my neice coming to visit for a couple of days. I am taking some time out from work so i can look after her as my sister is a single parent and also studying Pshchiatric nursing so can do with the help. She lives in Wales so i only see her a couple of times a year and time is passing so quickly; already she is 6 and seems far too grown up! So, i like to make the very most of the time we have together. I may take her to the science museum which is fun and stimulating for kids and has lots of interactive stuff for them to play with. She's a smart little thing so i think she'll enjoy it. Anyway, i can jabber on all day and i have work to do (lots of it) so i better go. Take care.
