I can only have a hamster, June...

Misc.
because I am allergic to dogs and cats. But, I love them! I could tell you many amusing stories about people who think I am saying I am allergic because I don't like their pet. I guess there must be a lot of people out there who use allergies as an excuse!

Anyway, I love my hamster. Her name is Chica Loca, and she loves me back. Every night, at her active time, she is so excited to see me, get a treat, and go for a run in her ball. She comes when I call her! I tell her all the interesting things that happen in the yard during the day while she is asleep. My "guys" act like I am nuts when I talk to her, but they often laugh at my stories for "Cheeky". But, she and I are the only females in the house, so we stick together.

My kids are embarassed that their mom has a hamster, but what can I do? I truly love pets, and would have a house full of them if I could.

Thinking of you at this sad time, and hoping you will feel better soon.

love,

Carolyn!
