ISO Brandied Fruit!

Misc.

Years ago I had a recipe for something I can only guess would be called brandied fruit. It involved taking marischino cherries, canned peaches and pineapple, sugar and yeast, letting it sit for two weeks, then adding fruit & sugar every week or so. It was intended as a sauce over ice cream or cake, however I used it to make fruitcake. I have not had the recipe for years, and would love to get it again. Any help would be very much appreciated.
