I've made a baumkuchen before

It was for my best friend's bridal shower. After it was finished baking I cut it into individual wedges and separately frosted them (some white, some pink), and piped roses onto them as well. Then I placed them in a basket lined with pretty floral napkins and wove fresh flowers on the rim & handle of the basket.

It was really quite pretty (even if I do say so myself!), except that it was the HOTTEST DAY OF THE YEAR (mid-July, 1984) and I don't think I would ever try it in the summer heat again!!!
