Julie, Fannie Flagg's Book........

Misc.

is great! I'm already halfway through the book and my friend let me borrow it on Thursday (I think). It's really funny. I love Fannie Flagg and I've read her other books. This one is different because it doesn't take place entirely in the south, but I think that you will enjoy it. After I leave my school library I head into town to check out the latest magazines, books, etc. The librarian there knows my taste--I lean toward "fluff." I'll read informative books, cookbooks, etc. I've read several of Oprah's Book Picks, but there have been a few that I simply haven't enjoyed. Maybe it's because by the time I read I'm already so tired, but many of Oprah's books are hard to understand, at least to me.
Thanks for the info. about the shrimp prices. It must be a lean year for shrimp! What is tapalani (?)? I know that I misspelled it, but I've NEVER heard of it before.
Thanks for the lime marinade recipe. I'll try it as soon as I get some fresh shrimp or fish.

Take care of yourself!
