Missy, zipper cream peas are..........

just a type of large, white, cream pea. My daddy started planting these several years ago and we loved them! After he died we went for a long time without these peas. However, I have a dear friend whose husband plants them now and I "put up" several bushels each year. I limit my family to having them on Sunday and on birthdays and holidays. I guess that's why you always see the peas on my Sunday menu. I hope that this answers your question. Come to Alabama and stop by and I'll make a big pot of zipper cream peas for you!
