I should have give a few more clues in my original post. Funny how I didn't think it was going to be this tough to find. It is a jellied meat of sorts...I thought she used hamhocks, and there's some sort of fat used too. I have searched all over the internet and gone as far as to call and e-mail to German restaurants in New York that have it on their menu. One refused, and the other hasn't replied yet. Thanks for all your help. If I ever find it, I will be sure to post! Happy holiday to all!
