re: Dandelion Greens
Misc. Marilyn,
As a child growing up in MA, my mother (of Italian descent) always picked dandelions in the back yard, but never cooked them. They were served as a salad with a little chopped onion and an oil and vinegar dressing. I remember them as being vaguely bitter, but not unpalatable.
When I moved to TN, I tried digging some dandelion greens and they were absolutely awful! Maybe it's a "soil" thing!
