Hi Jo;
I clean my G.F. with wet paper towels. Usually I lay wet paper towels inside, after I unplug it, they dry out while we're eating but they seem to keep the stuff that's on the grids from baking on. Then I just wet them again and wipe out the grooves in the grill. Anything gunky that's on there you can just scoot off into the little drip tray and get rid of it. Sounds time consuming but it really isn't at all. Sure a lot easier than cleaning the big grill or the broiler tray.
