RE: Lazy Day Lasagna???

Misc.

Dear Rhonda,

How are you doing?

I have a couple of questions for you as to why you rinse of the cooked turkey meat after you have browned it? I slide my pan to the center of the stove allowing part of the pan to still be heated by a low flame to keep the saturated oil in a liquefied state. This tilted pan allows the oil to flow to the opposite side of the pan where the meat is. Then I take a paper napkin or paper towel folded several times and blot up the oil. The pan is still heated by a low flame to keep the saturated oil in a liquefied state. I always thought all the flavor is lost if you rinsed cook meat. Is this a new technique?

I am going to ask my chemistry teacher but I think it is a bad idea to mix an acid with aluminum foil. The acid is in the tomato sauce. I not sure the fall semester start 8\25\98.

I have made lasagna with two cheeses before but your sounds like dynamite good food to me. Good idea you printed the recipe otherwise I would invite myself over for a delicious dinner. (Smile).

How is the Egg-Free cooking coming along, have you tried my corn bread recipe?

Since I am at the university when I on-line I have access to the library downstairs. I found cookbooks on food allergies If you want more egg substations just let me know.

Since some of my family and friends are allergy to certain foods while others are on diets it makes sense to have the information of how to adjust ones regular recipes when cooking for a group of people.

I want to thank you for lighting a fire under my buns. I am going to start my menu for a vegetarian OAMC menu. I hope I can finish before school begins. I will let you know how well my husband likes it. He is an omnivore. (Smile).

Sincerely,

Vivian

PS: What part world are you from? I'm from Northern California
