Re: Request
Misc. I put a bunch of country-style spareribs in my crockpot and throw in a half bottle of any fav. bbq sauce and off to the beach for the day. (On low for 6-8 hours.) If I'm feeling really ambitious in the morning when I do this, I add some sliced onions, and peppers, extra garlic. Smells so good when we come in. And hardly no work or time. Open one or two of those boxes of "assisted" noodles, rice, etc. and slice some summer tomatoes, and there you go!!
My mother and dad used to have entire meals made up of just the fruits and veggies that were "in" during the summer. Didn't even have meat - we eat too much meat anyway! Just piles of corn on the cob and sliced tomatoes. Or small baby new potatoes and new peas in cream sauce. Or fresh string beans and hamburgers on the grill, etc.
