Re: Still Searching for SLOVAK (or maybe?? Hungarian) Recipes...

Misc.

MaryAnn... was raised in Cleveland, OHIO--in a Hungarian neighborhood; lots of old-world Hungarians (with smokehouses in backyards); markets with paprikad slabs of bacon hanging in windows; had their own Hungarian language newspaper and attended Hungarian National Dances at their Hungarian speaking churches... I do have a number of recipes/books from the 1950's era and a couple of friends that may be able to help you.
My youngest son, is leaving home for AZ and I (well, am kind of 'down' right now) but I will, and will be finding out, at month's end, re: whether my husband's cancer is in remission... I will do research for you; whenever I can and will get back to you asap. LaDonna
