Re: What is your family's favorite meal?

Misc.

Three winners:
1.Fillets of char (a small salmon like fish)fried just a la meuniere (coated in flour, salt and pepper)shallow fried in butter until golden crisp with salad and plain potatoes.
2. Clear home made soup of beef (stock made with bony beef, cellery, garlic, onion , carrot, bay leaf and thyme.) Then lots of veggies, in cubes, cubed of boiled beef and tiny small homemade meatballs poached in the stock. Lots of warm homemade french bread.

And then a calory-orgy. Should be eaten only once a year. The calories are supposed to be enjoyed, not counted:
3. Smoked salmon with lettuce and horseradish/sour cream sauce as a starter Then ribroast of pork, corn and spiced cabbage, then a mousse of whipped cream, whipped eggyolks(no salmonella in Norway) and crushed, sugarburnt almonds, stiffened with gelatine.

Oh, isn't it unfair with daughters which are long legged and slim and eat a three course meal without batting an eyelid, and still is able to throw in a pizza a few hours later!
