Taking the easy way out

Misc.

In a couple of weeks, I'm flying to another city for my sister's rather impromptu wedding. I told her I'd be delighted to be the hostess for an open house for her and her hubby. We figure maybe 30 will attend.

Prep time will be short (I'm arriving Thrusday night for a Friday eve. wedding, Sat. afternoon open house), my sister and I are both "foodies" who really enjoy the unusual and elegant/artistic.

I'd love some suggestions of ways to "tart up" frozen or prepared party food one might find at a good grocery store, or recipes for things that are a rea knock-out but require minimum steps in preparing (for example, no way am I going to pipe cream cheese onto 60 snow peas!)

Thanks in advance for your help!

Frances
