you will get the puff pastry stuffed with guava conserves rectangles, or the round puff pastry, stuffed with Picadillo de carne. We call the Pastelillos volaos Empanadillas.

In San Juan & in all the northern area, they are called Pastelillos. As you said, it will depend on the area.
