Recipe(tried): Rice Pudding (using milk, egg yolks, and heavy cream)

RICE PUDDING

3 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar, divided use
2 cinnamon sticks
1/2 cup (uncooked) rice
2 egg yolks
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Heat milk, 1/4 cup sugar, and cinnamon sticks in saucepan, just to boil; stir in rice and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 40 minutes.

Whisk yolks, cream, remaining 1/4 cup of sugar, and vanilla in bowl. Stir into hot milk mixture in pot. Remove cinnamon sticks. Cool 30 minutes.

Sprinkle with cinnamon.
