Recipe: Friday's Jack Daniels Dipping Sauce

Found this in another book. Not sure if this what you were looking for or if you are still looking considering the original post was 22 years ago.

JACK DANIEL'S DIPPING SAUCE

"A sweet and mildly spicy sauce great for dipping meat, poultry. or fish."

1/3 cup diced red onion
1/2 tsp. finely minced garlic
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup white grape juice
1/2 cup Jack Daniels Whiskey
1/2 tsp. tabasco sauce

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan in the order listed, mixing and stirring after each addition.

Place over medium heat and stir until the mixture comes to a boil.

Reduce heat to a simmer. Simmer the sauce, stirring occasionally, for 35-45 minutes until thick and bubbling

Makes about 3 cups
