Recipe: IHOP's Stuffed French Toast

Breakfast and Brunch
IHOP STUFFED FRENCH TOAST

Texas Toast
1 pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon extract (I use vanilla, but others work well, also)
1 egg, beaten
1/2 can evaporated milk
1/4 cup sugar
Cinnamon to taste

Beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar and extract till spreading consistency. Spread between 2 pieces of texas toast until desired amount of toast is prepared.

In a shallow dish, beat together eggs, milk, sugar and cinnamon.

Heat a oiled griddle on med-high heat until water sizzles when dropped on it.

Dredge toast through egg mix one at a time and cook on griddle till golden brown then flip and repeat.

Serve with whipped cream or your choice of fruit toppings. (The canned fruit in heavy syrup always works best.)
