Oriental Honeyed Pork
2 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
3/4 lb pork butt, cubed
1 tbsp oil
1 (14 oz) can pineapple chunks, drained, reserve juice
1 green pepper, sliced
1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
1 cup chicken stock
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp soy sauce
2 tomatoes, quartered
2 tsp cornstarch
Combine flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder and coat pork.
Heat oil in a large frying pan; add pork and saute until no longer pink, 4-5 minutes.
Add pineapple, green pepper, and mushrooms to pork. Stir in chicken stock, honey and soy sauce and continue cooking until peppers are crisp-tender. Stir in tomatoes.
Mix cornstarch with 1/4 cup of the reserved pineapple juice; add to pan, stirring constantly until thickened. Serve with rice.
