Recipe: Chili-Roni (one skillet) (Betty Crocker, 1970's)

CHILI-RONI

1 pound ground beef
2 medium onions, chopped (about 1 cup)
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
1 (1 pound 12 ounce) can tomatoes
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon paprika
1 (15 1/2 ounce) can kidney beans

In large skillet or saucepan, cook and stir ground beef, onion and green pepper until meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain off fat.

Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, 20 to 30 minutes or until macaroni is tender.

Makes 6 to 8 servings
